Driving innovation in green transport: Empowering the next generation of engineers. This school is part of the MUSE – Motorvehicle University Skills Empowerment project, co-funded by the Region of Emilia-Romagna and FSE+ 2021/2027

Electrical Machines and Drives for Green Transportation systems

This School promotes innovation, upskilling and reskilling in the automotive and transportation sectors, fostering the training of highly qualified personnel, able to face the challenges of the electrical revolution.

It’s a unique event in Europe, open to young researchers and PhD students, to exchange experience and technical information about their projects, to attend lectures, visit companies and meet representatives from top industries in the transportation area.

Engineers from Industry are also welcomed, it is an opportunity for them to stay updated with the latest innovations in electric transportation field.

The Summer School is organized in collaboration with the EMTC – Electrical Machines Technical Committee of the IEEE IES and with TC Cluster 3 (Power Electronics for Electric Drives, Wireless Power, Transportation and Aerospace) of IEEE PELS. The event is also supported by the Fondazione Democenter, and it is endorsed by MOST – Centro nazionale per la mobilità sostenibile, and Motus-E.

It is organized in Modena, in the center of Emilia-Romagna region, which is world-renowned for its automotive industry.

The program is enriched with social events and cultural experiences, to embrace the history and innovation of the Italian automotive sector and discover local beauty and culture.

The project is designed to enhance the quality, inclusiveness, and international competitiveness of higher education in the Motor Valley, a key hub for leading automotive companies and advanced research institutions. By fostering a close collaboration between top regional universities and industry leaders, MUSE aims to develop advanced technical and digital skills, promote innovative training methodologies, and bridge the gap between academic education and labor market needs. This integrated approach not only strengthens regional excellence and transparency for citizens and stakeholders but also turns funding into tangible opportunities for both people and businesses.
